Are You Ready for What’s Next?

Everyone is trying to understand what’s coming next in a post-COVID-19 world. While we have no special foresight into the future of the pandemic, we can tell you what we have seen over the past few months so that you can apply these lessons to your practice.

1) Demand for optometrists and ophthalmologists remains very strong.

While many practices were left scrambling to survive at the beginning of the pandemic, we have been seeing record interest in new associates.

2) 2020 wasn’t a disaster for many practices.

To be sure, it was a challenging year, but many practices were able to adapt by implementing enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols and by leveraging PPP loans.

3) There is a pent-up demand for eye care services.

Many people have put off routine exams and elective procedures during the pandemic. As we return to a more normal lifestyle, many practices will experience an unprecedented demand.

4) The choices you make in the coming months may shape your practice for decades.

A byproduct of the demand caused by people returning to optometry and ophthalmology offices is that some practices will experience runoff as they will not be able to accommodate all patients or add new ones. By positioning your practice to meet new demand, you can reap the benefits for years to come. If you’ve been thinking about adding an associate, no one talks to more candidates than ETS. Call us to discuss your needs.
