Multi-specialty MD/OD ophthalmology practice is looking to add a medical retina/comprehensive ophthalmology or comprehensive ophthalmologist who is very comfortable with medical retina. The practice has a co-managed model with optometrists within the practice and externally. Upon arrival, cataracts and medical retina patients will be handed off to the new associate. A new associate can expect a large surgical volume year one.
The practice has immaculate clinical facilities and is very inviting to new technology in clinic and in their practice owned surgery center. There are many patients who elect for femto-assisted or lens upgrades with their cataract surgery. There will also be an opportunity to do refractive surgery as well. Currently the doctors at the practice handle the retina patients before they have to be referred out and want to streamline the practice by giving these all to a new associate.
- Able to quickly ramp up surgical cases
- All surgery done surgery center
- Ample tech support and scribe at all times
- Large external referral network of Optometrists
- No hospital call, practice call triaged before going to MDs
Requirements of the Medical Retina/Comprehensive ophthalmologist
- Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certified/Eligible
- Residency trained and comfortable with medical retina
- Open to 2020 fellows
